With the convenience of having ski resorts so close to an international airport, the capital city of Salt Lake, and to each other, transportation is not much of a problem during a winter ski trip in Utah. The Utah Transit Authority (UTA) offers ski bus service that takes skiers from stops by their hotels to the Cottonwood Canyon resorts, or from the park and ride lots at the base of those canyons – removing the need to find parking at the resort. UTA also offers the TRAX light rail system across the entire Salt Lake and Ogden valleys. And, in October 2011 UTA will begin its first bus service to and from Park City from Salt Lake City.

In Park City, skiers, snowboarders, and tourists alike can enjoy the free transit system offering bus service to just about anywhere within the greater Park City area, and the Main Street Trolley service for shopping, dining, sight-seeing, and lodging.
